Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patient populations
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required; only one holiday off may be approved per contract
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs or between like units, including potential float to a sister campus
- No on-call requirement
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Solid black or black and white scrubs required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
- Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Active state or compact RRT license required; pending licenses not accepted — license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract, subject to manager's discretion
- Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift as determined by the department
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date (approximately 4–10 hours)
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
- Holidays off are limited to one approved holiday per contract
