Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patient populations
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required; only one holiday off may be approved per contract
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs or between like units, including potential float to a sister campus
• No on-call requirement
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Solid black or black and white scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
• Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Active state or compact RRT license required; pending licenses not accepted — license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract, subject to manager's discretion
• Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift as determined by the department
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
• Holidays off are limited to one approved holiday per contract
