Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with PET experience, CNMT certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a travel assignment in Augusta, GA.

Details

Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving an adult to geriatric patient population
Position is general Nuclear Medicine with PET experience; cardiac nuclear medicine is not currently included in scope
Uses Epic and Pyxis
5x8-hour day shifts, with hours ranging between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Every other weekend required
Weekend call required one weekend per month
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Active CNMT and NMTCB certifications required
PET imaging experience required
Active professional license required if applicable
Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Local candidates are accepted
RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
Caribbean blue scrubs required
Candidates will undergo a clinical review to assess fit prior to manager consideration
