Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with PET experience, CNMT certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a travel assignment in Augusta, GA.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving an adult to geriatric patient population
- Position is general Nuclear Medicine with PET experience; cardiac nuclear medicine is not currently included in scope
- Uses Epic and Pyxis
- 5x8-hour day shifts, with hours ranging between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Weekend call required one weekend per month
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Active CNMT and NMTCB certifications required
- PET imaging experience required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Caribbean blue scrubs required
- Candidates will undergo a clinical review to assess fit prior to manager consideration
