Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week contract at a large academic Level I Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience including STEMI call and advanced interventional skills.

- Large short-term acute care academic teaching and Level I Trauma facility with 1,259 staffed beds
- Cardiac Cath Lab (South West Tower)
- High-acuity patient population requiring advanced interventional cardiac experience
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Procedural-based scheduling with weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements
- Each 6-week period includes approximately 1–2 weekend call shifts and 5–6 weeknight call shifts
- Floating within the cardiac service line and within clinical scope is required to meet facility needs
- Charting via Epic; experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
- Strong scrub experience in a cath lab setting with high-acuity patients
- Experience with STEMI call required
- Proficiency with CSI, Rotablator, laser, shockwave, and manifolds required
- Comfort and experience with Impella insertion and IABP required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Missouri State License required; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (must be noted at time of consideration)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have the required 2 years of experience and meet all clinical requirements
- Experience teching in MACLAB is preferred
- Scrubs must be navy blue; hospital-provided scrubs are also available
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain for a maximum of 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required; Allied travelers are limited to 12 months with a 6-month break required afterward
