Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level II NICU position at a women's and children's pavilion, requiring 2 years of Level III NICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is a Level II NICU within a dedicated Pavilion for Women and Children offering comprehensive maternity services
- Patient population includes neonates 22 weeks gestation and greater, with conditions such as prematurity, BPD, nutritional risk, and ROP exams
- Equipment used includes conventional ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and standard nasal cannula
- No surgical, ostomy, or trach cases are performed in this unit
- Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
- Floating required to the Family Maternity Center/Postpartum (babies only)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
Additional Information
- This position is located at the Pacific Campus, less than 1 mile from the Colby Campus
- All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Candidates with prior work history at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose the location and dates of that employment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs may be any color; reddish-orange is not permitted
- Parking is facility-paid
- All requested time off (RTO) should be submitted upfront
