Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical position specializing in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Cerner charting required.
Details
- 31-bed Medical-Surgical unit (5C) with a concentration in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Experience with voiding trials and/or urogyn surgeries is a plus
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Indiana or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Demonstrated experience with Bariatric Surgery, Thyroidectomy, Bowel Obstruction, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Two supervisor references required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Indiana residents are not eligible for this position as local candidates are not accepted for Med-Surg roles
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved automatically
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the health system must have a 12-month break in employment before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
