Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an academic medical center in Shreveport, LA, with general OR and trauma experience preferred.
Details
- Academic medical center setting in Shreveport, LA
- Operating Room unit
- General OR and trauma cases
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- One weekend shift required approximately every 6 weeks
- On-call responsibilities possible; shift may occasionally vary or fall on a weekend (details discussed during interview)
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Louisiana RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- BLS certification (AHA-accredited) preferred; BLS training will be provided if not currently held
- General OR nursing experience preferred
- Trauma OR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- Upon accepting an assignment, you may be assigned to an emergency response team by your unit manager, with an expectation to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during emergency events; candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply
