Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an academic medical center in Shreveport, LA, with general OR and trauma experience preferred and a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

• Academic medical center setting in Shreveport, LA
• Operating Room unit
• General OR and trauma cases
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• One weekend shift required approximately every 6 weeks
• On-call is possible and shift times may vary; details to be discussed during interview
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification (AHA-accepted); training will be provided if not currently held
• General OR experience required; trauma OR experience preferred
• Active LA RN license or compact RN license required prior to consideration

• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• As part of the facility's policy, travelers may be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events and expected to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team until the event has passed; candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply
