Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position requiring recent trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license, working a day/night rotation on a 13-week contract.
Details
- 21-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes medical neuro cases (neuromuscular disorders, meningitis), TBI, spinal cord injury, primary stroke center patients, surgical cases (brain and spine tumor resections, spinal surgery, head and neck cancer), and Level IV Epilepsy Center patients
- This is the only Level IV Epilepsy Center in Vermont and New Hampshire, including patients with implanted electrodes and scalp leads
- Day/night rotation schedule
- 48 hours per week
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with chest tubes, trachs, and laryngectomies required
- Experience managing drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone required
- Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients required
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Complex wound care experience required
- Two manager references required for consideration

- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
