Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cath Lab / EP position requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, with RCIS or RT(R) certification and Washington State licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital Cath Lab and EP setting
- Procedures include diagnostic/interventional cath, LHC/RHC, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave lithotripsy, temporary pacers, peripheral (lower extremity) diagnostic/intervention, and loop recorders
- EP procedures include Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes
- IR procedures (preferred experience): G and GJ tubes, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, IVC filter placement, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, ports, GI coil and chemo embolizations, thoracentesis/paracentesis, Inari clot extraction, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, Y90s, TIPs, and biopsies; no neuro IR
- 10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required 1–2 nights per week and 1–2 weekends per month; 30-minute response time required
- Weekend rotation is call only
- May float to sister facilities
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; additional IR experience strongly preferred
- RCIS or RT(R) certification required
- WA State License required if applicable
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Ability to scrub and operate the table simultaneously
- Experience with the full range of Cath Lab and EP patient types as listed in job details
- Hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
- First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of experience
- Two supervisory references required (charge nurse, manager, director, or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration with a second required prior to start
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures across Cath Lab, EP, and IR service lines
- EP ablations are performed approximately 2x/month by a visiting EP physician with their own team — candidate EP ablation experience is not required
- Scrubs are provided
