Description
American Traveler is hiring an IR Tech with a minimum of 1 year of hospital interventional radiology experience and ARRT-(R) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Nebraska.
Details
- Interventional radiology department in an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include angiography, fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound-guided interventional radiology
- Equipment includes fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and PACS
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekday call required one night per week (5:31 PM - 7:00 AM) and every third weekend
- No floating to other units or departments
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital IR Tech experience required
- ARRT-(R) certification required
- State of Nebraska Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the position's specialty within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Assist the interventional radiologist across a wide range of IR procedures using angiography, fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
- Functions in the first scrub role, including preparing, organizing, and anticipating needed instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Practices radiation and laser safety for patients, staff, and self using sterile technique
- Call shifts are not solo — a nurse and at least one other tech are also on call
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation provided
