Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical night shift position on a high-acuity surgical unit, requiring strong ortho/trauma surgical skills and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in a comparable setting.

Details

• Work setting is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Assignment is on the 5B Surgical unit
• Patient population includes complex ortho and trauma surgical cases with high volume and severity
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements
• No RTO (time off requests) approved for this assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg with a strong ortho/trauma surgical background
• Experience in high-volume, large-scale trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Skills checklist matching the Med/Surg specialty required for consideration
