Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including mandatory IABP/Impella proficiency, for a 13-week travel contract in Charlotte, NC.
Details
- Outpatient Interventional Cardiac Services unit within a 337-bed, non-trauma, non-teaching hospital that is a certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
- Patient population includes chest pain, vascular issues, cardiac ablations, and permanent pacemaker (PPM) implants
- EMR: Epic; department-specific equipment includes Merge/Hemo
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, with varying call
- Required to take 1–2 nights of call per week and 1 week of call every 6 weeks
- Every-other-weekend rotation
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- IABP and Impella experience are required — candidates without competency in both will not be considered
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, sheath pulling, TR band placement and removal, line securement, and EKG/cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes a facility new employee orientation (NEO) followed by 3–4 days of departmental orientation
- Department leadership is available for support
- Navy or green surgical scrubs are provided
