Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Lexington, KY, requiring a KY or compact RN license and multiple required certifications including ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department providing 24-hour urgent and emergency care for severe injuries and illness
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), three days per week
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
- MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and facilitation of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
- Care is delivered using a holistic, patient- and family-centered approach incorporating all four phases of the nursing process
- Involves collaboration and care coordination across interdisciplinary teams
- Participation in unit-based quality improvement activities is expected
