Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Neuro ENT Progressive Care Unit position requiring ACLS, NIHSS, charge, and precepting experience on night shifts with every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• Intermediate Neuro ENT Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Neurological and ENT patient population with complex care needs
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 14-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact license with NC privilege) required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Charge nurse and precepting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Delivers competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex neurological and ENT conditions using the nursing process
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for care planning, evaluation, and discharge coordination
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
• BSN or MSN is preferred but not required
• Drug screening results are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to complete screening promptly upon accepting an offer
