Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and active WV or compact RN license.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a large acute care hospital (838 staffed beds)
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
- 1:1 patient staffing ratio
- Specialized procedures include angiogram, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization
- Charting performed in Cerner
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- On-call rotation every 5th weekend; call details to be discussed with manager during interview
- Floating may be required to the CAMC General Lab CDL
- Blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
- Free parking available for travelers
Requirements
- Active WV RN license or compact RN license required; candidates may be submitted with a pending license but must have an active WV RN license prior to starting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Interventional Radiology experience required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 75–99 miles may be submitted for facility approval
- Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Clean RN license required; licenses with violations submitted on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have Interventional Radiology experience
- Former permanent employees of CAMC are not eligible to return as a traveler until 2 years after their last day of permanent employment
- Orientation is held every other Thursday; the first 2 days are classroom-based, followed by unit-based orientation
- RN scrub color is Royal Blue/White
- Flu vaccine is required for all personnel during flu season (October 1 – March 31); a documented medical allergy confirmed by an allergist or physician is the only accepted exemption
- COVID vaccine is not required
- No RTO restrictions; all requested time off must be included on the profile at time of consideration
