Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with required cardiac telemetry experience and Epic EMR proficiency, working nights in a hospital setting.
Details
- Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Primary focus on cardiac patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), rule-out Myocardial Infarction (MI), Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), and arrhythmias
- Secondary focus on respiratory patients with diagnoses including COPD and pneumonia
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
