Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registration, and current ODH licensure for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Works in a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving both acute care inpatient and outpatient clinical locations
- Performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures including PET/CT
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM shifts as part of a PET rotation
- On-call rotation every 4th week covering Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Rotates within the department as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registration required
- Current Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program required
- PET/CT experience or PET/CT advanced registry eligibility preferred
- PET/CT advanced certification preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Operates nuclear medicine equipment and all related instrumentation
- Makes imaging decisions regarding technique, positioning, and radiation protection
- Administers radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a supervising Radiologist and documents appropriately, with awareness of potential adverse reactions
- Practices sterile technique and cross-contamination prevention protocols
- Maintains accurate records including proper labeling of images for interpretation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Training on th intermediate floor could be better. An actual list of how to do things. Floating to different units also can get annoying.
