Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring at least one year of nursing experience, an active RN license, and AHA-issued certifications.

• Position is in a Neuro Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Full Date of Birth (DOB) and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
• Engages patients and families in care planning and discharge education
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• NIHSS certification should be noted on your application profile if held
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; prior contracts may only be extended once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
