Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week
• High-acuity Med/Surg floor and Respiratory Care Unit with 20 beds
• Patient population includes complex diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end-of-life care, and wound management
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Floating may be required to affiliated campuses in Laconia, NH and Franklin, NH
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license (permanent — temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Valid driver's license with address matching demographics on file
• 3 professional references required upon acceptance (2 must be from leadership such as a manager or charge RN)

• A Dysrhythmia Exam will be administered during onboarding with a preferred passing score of 80%
• Weekly orientation is provided
• Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a 12-month break in service
• Candidates must submit any requested time off (RTO) at time of consideration
