Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract at a hospital-based Emergency Department in Paducah, KY, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- 28-bed Emergency Department providing urgent and emergent care for patients arriving via EMS, walk-in, or hospital transfer
- Includes a specialized isolation room with negative and positive pressure capability for critical and infectious cases
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidate must provide date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

- Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
- Collaborates with an inter-professional care team to coordinate individualized patient care
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
- Applies age-specific and culturally sensitive care considerations across the patient population
