Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel X-Ray Technician with at least 18 months of experience for a night shift radiology position at a large 900-bed acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ.

Details

• Radiology department at a large 900-bed acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ
• Performs general X-Ray imaging with potential float to a nearby sister hospital
• Must be comfortable working in the OR setting
• Experience with GE imaging equipment required
• Epic used for charting
• 13-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (39 hours/week)
• Schedule runs Monday through Friday including every other weekend
• On-call is required for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• Active NJ State RT license required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• Proficiency with a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Experience working independently in a large, high-volume acute care setting
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Responsible for assessing patient safety, comfort, and physiological needs throughout procedures
• Monitor for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflow
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
