Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Med/Surg Float Pool position at a 600+ bed academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No blocked scheduling permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience must be from a 600+ bed academic hospital if under 2 years (with passing competency test score)
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, must be issued by AHA or RQI
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• Active flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted (personal/religious exemptions are not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Candidates with less than 2 years of Med/Surg experience must pass a competency test (2 attempts allowed); candidates with 2+ years are not required to test
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
