Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position requiring at least 2 years of experience, with TX or compact RN licensure and cardiovascular/vascular care background.
Details
- 30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit within a hospital setting
- Cardiovascular and vascular patient population including POD#1 CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy patients
- Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and pacemakers required
- Day shift: 06:45–19:15
- 13-week assignment
- Floating required within the critical care service line
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required
- Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, and stable GTT management required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration

- Care for high-acuity cardiovascular and vascular patients in a stepdown environment, including post-surgical and acute cardiac cases
