Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and/or PICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a children's acute care teaching hospital in Saint Louis, MO.
Details
- Work in the NICU at a 400-bed children's acute care teaching hospital
- Pediatric patient population including NICU and PICU settings
- Experience in ED and pediatric critical care is required for this role
- Charting via Epic; prior Epic experience is required
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- No floating outside of scope required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current BLS and RRT certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- NICU and/or PICU experience required
- Experience in ED and level 1 trauma facility required
- Pediatric and pediatric critical care experience required
- Valid Missouri state license required for consideration; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (please note if applicable)
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; St. Louis Children's Hospital-branded T-shirts and jackets are also permitted
- Paid parking is available in an on-site garage at daily rates
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
