Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a valid GA or compact RN license, working night shifts on a 12-week contract.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant nursing experience required
- Current certifications must be provided for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be accommodated — the listed shift is firm
- Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
