Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a NY RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases
- Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal management
- Experience using Rapid Response and Code teams
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Any color nursing uniform is acceptable
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
