Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of pediatric experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• PICU setting within a large academic hospital campus
• Specialized care for pediatric patients ranging from infants through young adults up to age 25
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and inotrope management required
• EKG/ECG rhythm recognition skills required
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact state license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent pediatric experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Proficiency in EKG/ECG rhythm recognition and inotrope management required
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation, and acceptable scores on both are required to continue the assignment
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Travelers may not work at any Cleveland Clinic location for more than 18 consecutive months, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before returning to any Cleveland Clinic location after an assignment ends
