Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma center in Ohio, requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • 18-bed OR unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
  • Wide range of surgical specialties performed, including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
  • Variable shift position with days and evenings available; shift lengths may be 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
  • On-call required Monday through Friday 9:00 PM–6:30 AM, and Saturday/Sunday 6:30 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–6:30 AM
  • Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
  • Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
  • Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma center required
  • Epic experience required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

  • Primary responsibilities include circulating in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
  • Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns is preferred
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • All requested time off must be submitted prior to acceptance and built into the contract, with a maximum of 7 days
  • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
  • Multiple paid parking permit options are available for purchase near the medical center, ranging from convenient garage access to budget-friendly surface lot options with shuttle service
