Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a minimum of one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.

  • Pediatric patient population with cardiovascular and complex health conditions
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC) currently in hand
  • Current certifications required (must be issued by the American Heart Association): BLS and PALS
  • Minimum of 1 year of CVICU nursing experience
  • CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient caseload, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
  • Involves patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures throughout the stay and at discharge
  • Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum total of 26 weeks
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and non-negotiable
  • BSN from a Board-approved program is preferred
