Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Florence, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in fetal monitoring on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting, located on the 3rd floor
• 9-bed unit serving an adult patient population
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Common diagnoses and cases include normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement to postpartum unit
• EHR systems: Centricity and Meditech
• 15-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS or ALS-OB (AHA), NRP, and EFM — all AHA certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of L&D RN experience
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• New hire orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Scrub color: ceil blue; scrubs with slogans, graphics, or offensive content are not permitted, and appropriate footwear is required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
