Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU night shift position requiring at least one completed travel assignment and certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE.

Details

  • NICU setting within a hospital environment
  • Patient population ranges from Level 1 Well Baby to Level 3 NICU, with Mother Baby experience preferred
  • Patient ratios of 1-3 patients per nurse
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend availability required
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • Required to float within scope to Well Baby and perform deliveries; floating to Postpartum is highly preferred
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Orientation is held on Mondays
  • Block scheduling accommodated when possible

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE (AHA-issued copies required)
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
  • At least one completed travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Experience with Level 1 Well Baby through Level 3 NICU required
  • Mother Baby experience required
  • Date of birth (DOB), Social Security Number (SSN), and 2 professional references required for consideration
  • Flu vaccine required — no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
  • On-site drug screening may be conducted at the client's discretion on the first day of the assignment
