Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract requiring Epic proficiency, a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting at a Level 2 Trauma hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 2 weekend shifts (or 4 weekend days) required per 6-week scheduling cycle
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Requirements
- Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, and TNCC
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced at this facility
- Scheduling flexibility is expected and required
