Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Frisco, TX, requiring at least 2 years of recent L&D experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• 13-bed L&D unit with 2 triage bays and 2 ORs
• Patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2
• Unit uses GE electronic fetal monitors (EFMs)
• EMR systems used: CPN and Meditech
• Procedures performed include inductions, cesarean sections, and TOLAC
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule block required
• 1 on-call shift per schedule block required
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification, or NCCEFM, required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Preferred candidates will have scrub (surgical assist) capability and/or charge nurse experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates with a positive, upbeat personality are described as the best fit for this unit
• Holiday schedule to be discussed upon placement
