Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a women's hospital in Arlington, TX, requiring at least 1 year of high-risk OB L&D travel experience and active NRP, ACLS, and intermediate fetal monitoring certifications.

Details

Located within a women's hospital setting on floors 1 and 2 of the L&D/OBED unit
23-bed Labor & Delivery unit also covering OB Emergency Department (OBED)
Patient ratio of 2:1
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
On-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks
Floating required within the women's service line, including Postpartum (PP) and Antepartum (Ante)
EMR system: CPN/Meditech
13-week contract

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card required), and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience in high-risk OB L&D
Candidates must provide a US SSN and date of birth (DOB) — no Canadian SSNs accepted
One professional reference required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

Additional Information

Performs all high-risk OB care including administration of magnesium drips and insulin drips, as well as circulating and scrubbing duties
OBED experience is preferred
High-risk and high-volume L&D experience is preferred
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
Tuesday start dates are standard for this location
The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a busy, high-acuity environment
