Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a TN or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Combination unit in a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
- EMR: Meditech
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license required)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Med/Surg setting required
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- All certifications must be AHA-issued and in hand prior to assignment start
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to start
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
