Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient rehab experience for a 13-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Augusta, GA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit (6E) in a 354-bed acute care hospital in Augusta, GA
- Evening shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Standard schedule is Monday–Friday with 2 weekends required during the 13-week assignment; 2 weekday off-days provided during weekend rotation weeks
- Caseload of 4–6 patients; average of 3–4 patient treatments per day, occasionally up to 5
- 28-bed inpatient rehab unit with 2 therapy techs on weekdays and 1 on weekends
- Equipment includes hi-low mats, NuStep, parallel bars, steps, balls, weights, car simulator, Bioness L200 and H300, and BITS interactive computer system
- Wound care procedures performed on unit
- Documentation via Meditech; experience with the Care Tool preferred
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active OT license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehab experience; must have active experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation and the Care Tool is preferred
- Black scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
- The facility is part of the HCA Healthcare network and is home to the largest burn center in the country, as well as a Human Motion Institute, Stroke Center, and Pelvic Health Institute
- Augusta offers a vibrant downtown scene, the Augusta Riverwalk, and is home to The Masters golf tournament
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
