Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a mobile MRI assignment requiring 5+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification, traveling daily via semi-mobile MRI unit across SD, MN, and IA.
Details
- Mobile MRI unit operating out of Sioux Falls, SD, serving 1 to 3 hospitals per day across SD, MN, and IA — traveling no more than 150 miles outside of Sioux Falls
- Acute care setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
- Role is the sole MRI Technologist working on the mobile unit
- Day shifts only, Monday through Friday — no nights or weekends
- Shift start times are typically 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM, with 10- or 12-hour shift lengths depending on patient volume
- Daily hours may vary significantly based on the number of patients seen
- Candidate will ride on the semi-mobile MRI unit and will not be required to drive — a driver is provided
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- No floating — mobile MRI only
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of MRI experience
- ARRT certification with MR registration required
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in Neuro, MSK, and Abdominal MRI imaging required
- Ability to work independently as the sole technologist on the mobile unit
- License required if applicable
- 2 current references required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the specialty
Additional Information
- Perform MRI studies using GE Explorer Lift 24.0 OS 1.5T, GE Architect 26.0 OS 3.0T, and Siemens Espree 1.5T scanners
- Additional systems used include Sectra PACS and VRAD night service
- Gray scrubs required
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
