Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation and acute care setting at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Independence, MO.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit (16-bed) and acute care setting within a 285-bed Level 2 Trauma Center
• Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation of 1 weekend every 6 weeks, with flex days off on weekdays when working weekends
• Patient ratios: 12:1 in acute care, 4-5:1 in inpatient rehab
• EMR: Meditech
• No on-call requirements
• Team of 14 OT staff, including 11 acute care OTs and 4 rehab OTs on day shift
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
• Acute care and/or inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Two professional references required for this Missouri-based position
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform evaluations and treatments, including ADLs and mobility
• Utilize rehab gym equipment and standard rehabilitation supplies
• Eggplant-colored scrubs required

• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers are not specified as excluded, but allied candidates must have experience within the last 6 months
