Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit supporting both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only one holiday off may be approved per contract
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister campuses, may be required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
• Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• State or compact RRT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Solid black or black-and-white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the start date (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract, at manager's discretion
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this travel position
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
• Any missed shifts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
