Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- NICU unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
- Pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient population
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Holiday rotation required
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities
- Charting via Epic (experience preferred)
- Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
Requirements
- Active RRT certification and South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required — SC RCP license must be in hand at time of start
- License required if applicable
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP
- NBRC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant populations
- Social Security Number and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- This facility is located in a hurricane-prone region; travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties, with peak activity in August and September
- Parking is free on nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass fee
