Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Cardiac Step-Down Unit position in Illinois, requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and a minimum of 2 years of cardiac step-down experience.

Details

• Progressive Care/Cardiac Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift patient ratio is 1:4-5; night shift patient ratio is 1:5-1:6
• Charge nurses consider each nurse's cardiac experience level when making assignments
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; active IA RN license also required — if IA license is not active, proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license must be provided during the compliance process
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required (pending certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Step-Down/Progressive Care RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required
• Valid Driver's License required

• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows are limited to 1 day per traveler regardless of holidays worked
