Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Endoscopy/OR position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 1 year of acute care OR experience and Endoscopy RN experience.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Endoscopy unit with 4 ORs and 1 Endo room
- Unit staffed by a team of 14, operating on day shift only
- Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2
- Typical procedures include urology and GYN cases
- EMR system is Meditech/CPN
- Shift hours are 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- On-call requirement includes 3 weekday call shifts per month (5:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and one weekend per month (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 6:00 AM)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KS or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care OR RN experience required
- Endoscopy RN experience is required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Robotics, urology, and orthopedic experience are preferred
- The team is small and fast-paced; candidates with a friendly, adaptable personality are encouraged to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; prior travel experience is implied by the competitive hiring profile
