Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• 12-bed ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 (not guaranteed)
• Equipment used includes monitors, CRRT, IV pumps, fluid warmers, and blanket coolers
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Common procedures include dialysis line insertion, arterial line insertion, central line insertion, cardioversion, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
• Floating required to all three Wesley campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Ventilator, IV, and GTT competency preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
