Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown (CVSU) night shift position requiring AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications along with 2+ years of cardiac/cardiovascular surgery experience.

Details

  • Work in the Cardiac Stepdown (CVSU) unit of a hospital, caring for post-cardiac surgery and post-CVICU patients
  • 11-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
  • 3x12 night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
  • 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • No call requirements
  • Float to other ICUs and occasionally to med surg
  • Uses GE monitors for patient monitoring
  • Charting is done in Cerner

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Alabama or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
  • Cardiac and cardiovascular surgery experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide post-operative and stepdown care to cardiac surgery and CVICU patients
  • Outgoing personality is a strong fit for this unit's team dynamic
  • Navy scrubs required; fleece attire is not permitted
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
