Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry certification.

Details

• Works in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active RN license — CT state license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry (Tele) certification required
• Must pass an EKG/Telemetry exam prior to starting
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
• Flu vaccine is required — declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• 1 reference required for consideration
