Description

American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week radiology assignment, performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures on a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital radiology department setting
• Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast ultrasound are excluded from scope
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
• Associate's degree required
• Active ARDMS registry required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Proficiency with patient positioning, immobilization, image quality evaluation, sterile technique, and infection prevention
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Information

• Responsible for operating all ultrasound imaging equipment and performing ultrasound procedures including patient transfer and positioning
• Submits required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Coordinates ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
• Communicates openly and accurately with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
• Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
