Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and OB-GYN surgical cases
- Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
- Unit consists of 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Circulating, scrubbing, Post-Op, Pre-Op, Low Risk Antepartum, and Low Risk L&D responsibilities
- Procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
- Additional care areas include GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former permanent employees of any Providence facility other than Swedish are eligible if separated for at least 3 months; former Swedish permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
