Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and OB-GYN surgical cases
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
Unit consists of 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Circulating, scrubbing, Post-Op, Pre-Op, Low Risk Antepartum, and Low Risk L&D responsibilities
Procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Additional care areas include GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery
Epic EMR experience required
Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state

Requirements

Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand
Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
Epic EMR experience required
At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Former permanent employees of any Providence facility other than Swedish are eligible if separated for at least 3 months; former Swedish permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
