Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, post-op, and pre-op OB/GYN patients
- Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
- Specialized procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Responsibilities span circulating, scrubbing, OB-GYN, couplet care, low-risk L&D, and transition nursery
- Attends both routine and high-risk deliveries as well as GYN surgeries
- Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; all travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS preferred
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent employees of any Providence facility other than Swedish are eligible to apply if separated for at least 3 months; former permanent Swedish staff must also be separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
- Travelers who refuse floating assignments may be subject to termination of their contract
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
