Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Advanced Endoscopy unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience, AHA-issued BLS and ACLS, and on-call availability.
Details
- Advanced Endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week with a set day off
- 40 hours per week
- On-call required approximately 2–3 days per month
- Advanced endoscopy procedures performed
- Moderate sedation and pre/post procedure care involved
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Advanced endoscopy experience preferred
- Moderate sedation experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing advanced endoscopy procedures, ranging from simple to complex conditions
- Responsibilities include patient monitoring, medication administration, IV management, physician assistance during procedures, and care coordination with patients and families
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again (prior contracts are limited to one extension, for a total of 26 weeks)
- Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — onboarding processes including drug screens and background checks must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but prior endoscopy experience is strongly preferred
