Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in a Non-Invasive Cardiology department, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience performing adult echocardiograms and current RCS or ARDMS certification.

- Located in a Non-Invasive Cardiology department (Echo Dept 744) on the 2nd floor of an acute care hospital in San Antonio, TX
- Primary procedures include adult echocardiograms
- Unit is staffed by 4 full-time Echo Techs
- GE Vivid ultrasound equipment is used
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekend rotation required — 2 weekends per month
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing adult echocardiograms
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date)
- RCS or ARDMS certification required
- Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform adult echocardiograms as the primary daily responsibility
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to work weekends is preferred
- Scrubs are provided by the department
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
